I’m glad you followed my advice and ordered your credit report from annual credit report dot com and subscribed…. right?
Now let’s go over exactly what I do when I get my credit report.
What I do is look for errors. If my credit score is going to affected negatively it’s not going to be because of something I didn’t do..
This is easy so grab your favorite highlighter and your credit report and lets go find some errors

This is a great video! I've never found errors on my credit reports (knock on wood), but I have heard stories of wrong addresses and completely incorrect accounts. Yikes.
Credit reports always have incorrect information on them :-/

Correcting addresses and names could be a hassle. I sure hope it didn't take too long to get it all fixed.
The only mistake on mine was that the address wasn't current. But that one made me jump through hoops to even get the report – had to send in 3 kinds of documentation!

I like! The craziest thing on my credit report was bills from a family member's address with my nick name for a 1st name and wrong middle initial. #ratchetFamilyMembers so I had to 'HI-LIGHT IT!'
